In a ceremony held in Monfalcone, Italy, MSC Cruises’ Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago and Chief Executive Officer, Gianni Onorato, along with Fincantieri’s Chief Executive Officer Giuseppe Bono launched the cutting of the first steel of MSC Seaside.

MSC Cruises and FINCANTIERI marked an important milestone in the building of MSC Seaside with the celebration of the traditional maritime Coin ceremony held at the Monfalcone, Italy shipyard.

MSC Cruises officially presented its new flagship MSC Seaside. The delivery ceremony took place at the presence of Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, Graziano Delrio, Italy’s Minister of Infrastructures and Transports as well as other authorities and dignitaries, Roberto Olivari, Director of the Monfalcone Shipyard, Fincantieri, Gianluigi Aponte, Executive Chairman, MSC Group, Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman, MSC Cruises and Pier Paolo Scala, Master of MSC Seaside.

​Our Company has celebrated the coming into service of our new flagship MSC Seaside, as she prepares to cross the Atlantic for her new home in Miami. 

MSC Seaside is the 14th addition to MSC Cruises's fleet and the second MSC Cruises ship to come into service in 2017. 

​MSC Seaside, the 14th addition to our fleet, was named by international screen legend Sophia Loren in a spectacular evening at PortMiami.
