The first MSC World Cruise set sailed from Genoa on January 5th 2019 to tour the globe in an incredible voyage lasting 119 days.
The itinerary has been divided into three segments. First, MSC Magnifica crossed the Atlantic Ocean to tour the Caribbean, transited the Panama Canal and explored Central America en route to San Francisco.
In the second segment, Guests visited Hawaii before exploring Oceania. Following stops in Tahiti, Bora Bora and Fiji, the ship reached New Zealand, then stopped in the iconic Australian cities of Sydney and Melbourne.
The final segment explored the Indian Ocean, visiting Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Sri Lanka, before spending two days in the magical Maldives. Stops in Oman, the Emirates and Jordan followed, before returning to the Mediterranean via the Suez Canal.
In addition to the outstanding hospitality on board, the fare included some valuable extras, such as 15 shore excursions and a mealtime drinks package.
The global journey was publicised on social media by a selection of renowned travel bloggers, taking part in an “influencers relay race”.
And to ensure an unforgettable culinary voyage of discovery, 9 international celebrity chefs have each contributed a gourmet dinner menu, mingling with Guests as they eat.
The world-class onboard entertainment program was complemented by ambitious, globally-themed team games and quizzes as well as a wide variety of activities to enrich the experience, many of them related to the destinations visited, from language lessons and cultural lectures to dancing with professional performers from around the world.
It all has been added up to a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a voyage around the globe destined to create a lifetime of wonderful memories.
